What is the most important element in life?

The most important element, mortal search in life is peace.  Its neither:
  • Money
  • Fame
  • Health
  • Desires
Because, the fact that the people, who have all these in their stride, still not satisfied are exploring ways for gaining peace of mind, says it all. If they had obtained solace after gaining these possessions, then they won't wander here and there for gaining peace of mind.

Even if you don't have any of these alluring stuffs, still you can cope with life with ease. If we change our perception from upward to downward classes, then you can notice that, unhealthy individuals in the world are managing their lives, similarly the infamous ones also keeping going, and also the poor who are living with other’s support are sustaining life. The only thing we can say is that their life may be miserable without those alluring stuffs, but still they have the courage  to cope with it. Thus the insight this comparison provides is that, these glamorous things may be mind bogging but are not inevitable, you can sustain without them.  At the same time one can't sustain without peace of mind. If one doesn't have peace of mind, then we can conclude that he doesn't have anything even with all his possessions.

Rich man will be a poor man, if he doesn't have peace, because the money that he accumulated by scintillating efforts is not providing him the much needed happiness, which he is desperately looking for. Imagine that you are holding a coveted position in the office/society and worried by family problems. Can you work peacefully by enjoying that commanding position? Now imagine that, you gracefully got a great family and an understanding partner, but at the same time disturbed by official problems. What will be your mood when you enter your home?

If you don't have peace of mind then:
  • You can't eat, even if it is costly and nourishing food
  • You can't enjoy your fame, even if you are the leader
  • You can't enjoy the comforts of your luxurious car
  • You can't relax, even if you are watching the best comedy film
  • You can't love, even if your partner is alluring
So even if you have everything, you can't utilize those factors if you don't have peace. So the bottom line is - 'Without peace of mind, you can't enjoy your possessions’.

Analyzing stress

In the prior segments, we were focusing on
  • Need of peace and
  • The way to get peace.

Now let us analyze what is stress?

There have been different definitions and classifications for stress. Like chronic depression, relationship related stress, job stress, jobless stress, stress to perform, stress due to sickness, unknown fears, etc.  Just like a tree has lot of branches, similarly stress can be portrayed as a tree and classifications as its branches. Each and every classification, even though seems to be very different from each other, are rooted on the tree. Similarly, all diversifications and variations end in the word “stress”.

Major 3 classifications of stress are:
  • Anxiety/Tension
  • Worries/Trauma
  • Phobia
Stress, if said in a sentence, means ”disturbance of mind”.

All those things, which make our mind disturbed, are stress and hence termed as negative, and all those things, which gives mind serenity, are peace and hence termed as positive. Stress control means bringing back mind from its negative influence. Therefore, we can conclude that bringing the mind from calmness to disturbance is called stress and bringing back to its original state from disturbance is called peace.

3.There are a few powerful techniques said by our saints of yore which you can learn while you attend our seminars. Here are some additional tips which are very useful............
  1. Understand your natural talent and do that when you feel stress. You can't get good result by fear; it can only make the situation from worse to pathetic. Worse situations won't get worse by positive attitude. On the contrary, it acts as damage control and augurs betterment. Thus, what you have to do is, take your frightening mood into the opposite direction. When you are frightened then watch a comedy movie or a good movie. 'Change your mind' by reading, listening to music, chanting hymn, or anything that can make you fully concentrated without much difficulty.
  2. Face it.  Tell yourself that you will face it, irrespective of results. We are in stress mainly because we don't want to face 'a' situation. We fear that we are going to be finished when such 'a' situation arrives. You have to conquer those fears, by self-communication. Whisper to yourself that when the situation is over, 'I will remain as usual irrespective of results'. Situations can be better or worse (than before) after I face it, but it is not significant. The significant thing is 'I will face it irrespective of results'. After taking that pledge, make yourself prepared to face it.
  3. Try to find ways. You have to find ways not for escaping from it, but for facing it and reduce the setbacks to the minimum. If you analyze why we have stress then we can understand that it is because of ignorance. We don't have any idea how to do that job, or how to deal with those pressures, or how to deal with success and failures. Education is your problem than weakness. You can reduce stress if you know how to do the job. With utmost sincerity, try to gain insight to the things you want to do. When you try to educate yourself, then you can see that you are becoming creative, because you are in search of ways. When you become creative then you have 'happily diverted' your attention from stress/low confidence/de-motivated thought forms.
